One of the main sources that inspires me is Instagram. I loved it, according to the BF I am addicted to it. Just before christmas I was looking at the IG feed of Confessionsofalittlepiggy and I was almost drooling and wanting to get my hands on what I saw in the picture.

I loved how the color combinations popped and made it such a festive little treat. So I asked Jenny how to make this little masterpiece and here is the recipe. Easy peasy, I promise.

IMG 20131224 211752 300x300 - Colourful holiday chocolate treat

Ingredients
250 gr white chocolate – chopped  (the better the quality, the better it gets. My favorite: Lindt)
65 gr of toasted pistachios – chopped
65 gr of dried cranberries – chopped

Method
Chop your pistachios and cranberries in to the same size pieces.
Heat your chocolate au bain marie and completely melt and remove from the heat.
Now mix in the cranberries and pistachios. (leave some behind)
Pour the chocolate into a parchment paper lined baking sheet and smooth it out. Depending on how thick you want it, you keep on smoothing it out.
Sprinkle the leftover pistachios and cranberries to make the color pop even more.
Let cool and set completely on the counter or in the fridge for at least 30 mins.
Break into pieces and enjoy.

Oww be sure to make enough, these are super addictive! I served it next to the coffee and tea we had after dinner.

If you’ll make it, please let me know how they turned out.
