I can’t even remember the first time I visited this food market, but I do remember that I liked it from the start. What I do remember is that it was in one of the smaller buildings on the Westergas premisses and it was very cold. Even though it was very cold, it was cozy enough to get warm. They supplied some heating and I loved the fact that they set up a table with some nice table linnen and candles to get the mood right.
Its a surprise which location on the Westergasfabriek is assigned to host the Neighbourfood market Amsterdam, but the last time we went, they were situated in one of the bigger halls in the Westergas and the number of stalls doubled, so more yumminess to choose from.
We are fan of the very relaxed environment, the passionate people cooking good food and enjoying it in company of friends and family. What more could you ask for on a lazy sunday afternoon. If you want to go with kids, don’t go too late as in the afternoon, the people without kids tend to go there to “wake up” and get rid of their hangover.
Do you feel the vibe yet? You will find the Neighbourfood market this year on:
I will be there on the 16ht of February, so I hope to see you there!
Hosted at the Westergasfabriek
