Did you guys know hotel de Hallen opened their doors this summer? Its a hotel opened in the same complex as the now notorious FoodHallen.
The hallen are an initiative where an old Tram remise (tram depot) got a complete make over. That only is a reason to come and visit this beautiful 4 star hotel. They’ve got 52 rooms and 3 junior suites to spoil you rotten and there is a little restaurant and bar where you can satisfy your cravings. Look for the old rails that they kept intact!
Nice to know, is that its part of the Vondel Hotel group and their 5th hotel and designed by Andre van Stigt of Stigt Architects. In my opinion, he did a fantastic job on the interior.
For 150 euro’s a night, this is your place to stay. If you fancy a nicely designed concrete floor, go for a room on the ground floor. The rooms upstairs all have carpets on the floor. If you want to go all out, book a suite.
I still need to have dinner at their restaurant Remise47, but I will tell you guys all about it once I’ve been. Other than that its fantastic to see this part of town is on the rise with other cool initiatives like Spaghetteria, Bar Spek and Bilder and the Clerq around the corner.
Don’t you just love the what you see?! Perfect to spend the holidays here!
