IMG 3227 1024x1024 - Fun snack: sprinkled grissini

I had a baby shower the other day and was asked to make something too. I thought it should be something fun and as I don’t like the traditional blue/pink themed showers, I was not going to compromise this time either. All colors, but subtle..taraa..the idea of using sprinkles was born.

Sprinkled Grissini snack

Ingredients
1 package of Grissini classici- 125 gr – about 20 bread sticks
White chocolate – 150 gr
Sprinkles

Method
Take a baking tray and lay some baking paper.
In a deep plate, add enough sprinkles. You don’t have to go bananas here, just enough to cover some bread sticks. If you need more, you can always add more later on.
In a bowl, melt your chocolate in the microwave for a minute, check on it, stir and keep on doing that until your chocolate has completely melted.
In a deep plate, add enough sprinkles.
Oke, so now comes the fun part. Take one grissini in your hand and use a spoon to cover it with white chocolate. Make sure the majority of the chocolate has dripped off and your grissini is covered to your liking. Try to create an even layer.
While still holding the grissini in your hand, you transfer from the chocolate bowl to the plate with sprinkles and with your other hand sprinkle to your liking.
Lay on the baking tray for about 45 minutes till they’ve completely hardened.
The more you make, the more you’ll get the hang of it.
Your treat is now done..isn’t this a lovely idea? You can also vary on chocolates, instead of sprinkles, use other toppings.
