Dokterstuin Curaçao // As some of my family from the US came over to meet us here, we wanted to cruise around West Punt and Banda Abou to show them some of the nicer parts of the island. We passed by some flamingos, drove by the Museum of Tula the slave and saw the now famous Willywood sign. Playa Forti is the spot where people jump of a cliff and you have one of the best views of Curacao. Totally in our style, it was a nice excuse to have some typical Krioyo lunch too.
The land house Dokterstuin is an old colonial building, situated on a former plantation. Its nice to be surrounded by some history and have lunch in the casual garden there. There is also a play ground for the kids to have some fun while waiting to eat. We love the setting and always enjoy the great food they serve.
We had the chicken stew (Galina Stoba), conch (Karko), sirloin (Lomito) and a slice of fish (Mochi Piska) accompanied by fries/ corn meal / tutu (sweet beans with corn meal) or rice and some fried plantains.
Dushi Yiu!
