Chocolate Oatmeal cookies
After I’d eaten that giant cookie from one of my fave deli’s STACH Food yesterday I was craving more cookie happiness. Today I couldn’t help myself and I went in to the kitchen to experiment. This resulted in me baking these awesome chocolate oatmeal cookies and I just have to share. It smelled so good that I couldn’t contain myself to nibble on one straight from the oven. You don’t even need a mixer for these and the recipe is pretty simple. Worth the try I’d say! I eat these with a nice glass of ice cold milk or I crumble them in my breakfast rituals like milk or yoghurt. Amazeballs.
Recipe for Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
60 gr soft butter
50 gr of light brown sugar
50 gr of sugar
70 gr of whole weat flower
80 gr of quick oats ( I used 3 packs of Quaker Oats Express)
3/4 tl baking soda
30 gr cocoa powder
30 gr chocolate – chopped
30 gr hazelnuts – chopped
Heat up the oven to 150 C ( I use a convection oven)
Knead all ingredients to a firm ball.
Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Make balls (2 the size of a golf ball if you want big cookies) and flatten them a little bit.
Be sure to leave some room between them, because they tend to spread a little.
Bake the cookies in about 15 minutes as you don’t want to burn the chocolate.
Remove them from the oven and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
Transfer to a cooling rack and when they’ve cooled off completely, store in an air tight cookie jar.
