I attended a really cool edition of Bloggers on Board this summer, organized by Ms Publicity and WE PR, where we got introduced a lot of yummy brands and food and sweets. One of those sweet treats were these amazing brownies made with Amarula!

[happy bday to me!!] I am more of a savoury girl, but you can sure make me a very happy person if you bring me brownies. The really good ones that is! I hope you will enjoy it just as much as I do. And yes, you can still join in on the cool give aways to celebrate my 1 year blog bday a Rosti Mepal lunch container and drink bottle or the yummyMediterranean lunch for two at Eetwinkel Geniet or the Handmixer from ETNA.
Before I talk about the recipe, what is Amarula exactly?
Amarula is a soft cream liqueur from South Africa. Its perfect to have as an aperitivo, digestivo, in or next to your coffee or in a cocktail. The Marula tree only grows in Africa, so that makes it quite unique. Its also known as the Elephant tree. On the tree they have these yellow egg shaped fruits growing and that is the main ingredient for producing this soft cream liqueur. You taste chocolate, vanilla, coffee and a hint of citrus. Would you like to know what you can do with this delicious liqueur? Check their website here and have a look at the recipes.
