Its been super busy lately, but still I want to make as much home cooked meals as possible. Sometimes its a challenge, but this recipe is a winner. Not only in time, but also that it tastes just too damn good.
Recipe for Chinese ground beef with long beans
~ Serves 4 ppl
1 medium onion
1 clove of garlic
500 gr of ground beef
200 gr of long beans (here I used string beans)
thumb size piece of ginger – sliced
3 TBsp Oyster sauce
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp salt
3 tsp sugar
1 TBsp white rum
1 TBsp corn flour
60 ml water
Peal and chop up your onion. Peal the garlic and grate it.
Heat up 1 TBsp of olive oil in a wok and add in onions, garlic, ginger, ground meat and stir fry.
In a bowl, add in oyster sauce, sesame oil, rum, sugar, salt, flower and water. Make sure to mix everything well.
Pour the sauce over the ground beef and wok for another 3 minutes.
Taste and flavor as desired.
Add in the long beans and wok for 3 more minutes.
Serve with some steamy hot rice.
I always make this dish with long beans, but as I was cooking for the boys from Koken met Aanbiedingen, I used what was on promotion this week, which was string beans. Equally good if you ask me!
